Learning and behavior concerns can often go hand-in-hand. Arguments over homework, assignments not handed in, and missing classes at the higher level.
Discomfort in learning connected to low grades and not knowing how to change those outcomes can produce distraction behaviors or what I call Exit Strategies. Exit Strategies are what youth and college students do to avoid feeling bad. This causes a continuous circle of dissatisfaction and friction.

The length of a skill coaching program depends on the individual and the goals. Some programs may last a few months, while others may be longer. The session typically go from weekly meetings, to bi-weekly, and then maintenance sessions as needed.
